06:29 to: Diana Benner
Great question Miguel!

06:34 to: ChristineB

06:45 to: Jeff
Moodle Mayhem member

06:46 to: Peggy George
we're hoping everyone will start sharing your moodle courses with us on Moodle Mayhem :-)

06:55 to: MGuhlin.org
For Texans, how many of you have gone through the TxVSN "certification" course through one of the approved providers?

07:12 to: MGuhlin.org
@Jeff great!

07:14 to: Terry Eberhart (aka Digin4ed)
Starting in the fall

07:16 to: Peggy George
I wish more of our schools used Moodle!!

07:18 to: Amy Cobb
How about if only some faculty use Moodle?

07:23 to: Ann B
We are moving some courses to it this year.

07:23 to: MGuhlin.org
I think Moodle is a course management system

07:40 to: Bill
Our district uses it for Virtual Learning Network in Texas.

07:41 to: Jen
It's there, but it's not mandatory for all teachers to use. Kinda hard to share.

07:47 to: Nancy
My K-12 school has "Stroodle" (in Prague) :)

07:48 to: Sharon
Ann B--I said YES for Franklin?? At least we will next year??

07:48 to: A. T. Wyatt
I think it is learning management more than course management.

07:51 to: Dianne Aldridge
@Miguel Not yet, but may attend the convention in August

07:54 to: Peggy George
maybe our newbie question should be what is the difference between course management and learning management :-)

07:57 to: dotty Myers
I have a moodle account, but have not used it like I should.

07:59 to: MGuhlin.org
Stroodle!?

08:03 to: A. T. Wyatt
A broader term, focus on learning rather than management!

08:06 to: Peggy George
Sloodle!!!

08:14 to: Penny (CA USA)
Mahoodle too!

08:19 to: Ann B
I said "no" because only some are using it.

08:23 to: A. T. Wyatt
Yes, I like Mahara

08:25 to: Nancy
Stroodle is a custom name for our school's moodle CM

08:36 to: Laura Anderson
I use Moodle through my own site - my school has nothing!

08:37 to: Peggy George
that's an awesome name Nancy!! very clever!

08:38 to: mbteach (Mary Beth)
Would love to know the diff btwn learning & course management. I always thought learning management included databases & general student data

08:48 to: McTeach
Yay, Miguel!!!

08:56 to: Peggy George
we are so lucky to have Diana and Miguel with us today!!

09:02 to: Nancy
The American school of Paris had "Poodle" :)

09:16 to: Peggy George
Love the banner Diana!

09:18 to: ChristineB
Nancy, that's so funny....

09:19 to: Dianne Aldridge
The in Italy has "Noodle" :-)

09:21 to: Sharon
Ann B--OOPS!!

09:22 to: Penny (CA USA)
URL for Mayhem site?

09:26 to: Peggy George
just click on the arrows :-)

09:30 to: ChristineB
LOL!!!!

09:34 to: Dwight Farris (Univ of AZ)
I have created a LMS/CMS hybrid - Droodle - Drupal & Moodle

09:36 to: Ann B
MB - That is what I thought also. Most often here Moodle as "course management system" in our neck of the woods.

09:37 to: john
yes, and the German division is called stroodle

09:37 to: Peggy George
moderators can see the arrows Miguel

09:54 to: virginia alberti

11:04 to: Peggy George
so amazing that Moodle is free! love open source!

11:41 to: Dianne Aldridge
That's what I want to use Moodle for - PD.

11:56 to: Peggy George
@Dianne--that's what I'm using Moodle for

11:59 to: ChristineB
Dumb question here, but can Moodle serve as the main classroom website? Can everything flow out from there or is it more management? In other wortds, are there discussion forums, blogging capabilities

11:59 to: ChristineB
, etc?

12:08 to: Penny (CA USA)
Question: Any recommendations for "best practices" with using Moodle -- with all the features, it is a bit overwhelming as what is best to use for what...

12:09 to: Peggy George
yes Christine!!

12:13 to: A. T. Wyatt
Yes, moodle has a lot of different tools.

12:17 to: Mary
christine we use moodle as our school website

12:18 to: Penny (CA USA)
@ChristineB -- yes it can

12:24 to: Amy Cobb
yes, Christine, you can do all that

12:27 to: A. T. Wyatt
Many improvements coming in Moodle 2.0

12:29 to: Mary
HEYYY I am here Miguel :)

12:33 to: Peggy George
that's why I like to call it a learning management system :-)

12:37 to: Peggy George
yeah Mary!!!!

12:40 to: ChristineB
Ok, I'm already addicted.

12:41 to: Penny (CA USA)
Yah Mary! LOVE your stuff!

12:44 to: Alan-elptuxman
For Open Source Apps check http://links.episd.org/OSMonster.html

12:45 to: Diana Benner
Hello Mary!

12:52 to: Ann B
We use it for "blended" courses. F2F with online resources, assignments, and student submission of work.

12:55 to: Mary
there are lots of Marys here -more than in UK :)

13:17 to: Peggy George
no problem!! take it on Mary

13:25 to: MGuhlin.org
I mean Mary Cooch

13:26 to: Sheri Edwards
Sounds like @Dwight Farris could present CR20 session about on Drupal and Moodle? Droodle

13:50 to: Peggy George
can't hear you Mary

14:04 to: Mary
I am not very good with mikes!

14:05 to: Dwight Farris (Univ of AZ)
I would love to... :)

14:15 to: Peggy George
maybe you need to run audio setup wizard Mary

14:17 to: ChristineB
Thanks, Peggy!

14:21 to: Peggy George
can see your mic on but can't hear you

14:22 to: Mary
ok I will do that and gety back later#

14:26 to: ChristineB
I have about 5 sites open at the same time!

14:27 to: Peggy George
great :-)

14:37 to: Diana Benner
Mary is featured in Episode 2 of the Moodle Mayhem Podcast section.

14:42 to: Peggy George
@ChristineB--5 sites are nothing!!! how about 90???

14:51 to: ChristineB
Haha!!!! I'll be getting there!

15:03 to: matt montagne
the BIG question...to upgrade to Moodle 2.0 this summer or not

15:11 to: Mary
NO

15:12 to: Peggy George
great intro Miguel

15:20 to: A. T. Wyatt
We are waiting a bit for Moodle 2.0 as production

15:21 to: Ann B
Great Questions Matt!

15:24 to: Peggy George
doesn't sound like 2.0 will be ready this summer

15:32 to: Oronoque Westland
can't use it with Sloodel

15:38 to: A. T. Wyatt
We are waiting until next summer, but setting up a pilot system

15:40 to: Peggy George
I agree--don't be the first to try it out :-)

15:43 to: matt montagne
thanks

15:45 to: Diana Benner
I plan to wait as well.

15:47 to: Mj Pratto
I hope to load it in a playground site,,but not the main site

15:52 to: Natalia
What are hte steps to get started on Moodle. I am thinking about creating a course for my students.

15:57 to: Penny (CA USA)
Me!

16:04 to: Peggy George
especially if you're starting the school year--don't want big surprises with things not working

16:18 to: matt montagne
I think we are going to wait and then run a little Moodle 2.0 test network in the background

16:26 to: Peggy George
that's a great idea Mj Pratto--start using it as sandbox

17:03 to: ChristineB
What is the playground and sandbox terminology? I'mlost on the monkey bars.

17:05 to: Diana Benner
We will have lots of info on Moodle 2.0 in our next Podcast episode on Moodle Mayhem scheduled for release later this week.

17:07 to: Kim Caise
i use http://keytoschool.com for my Moodle course. they host it and i just create the content

17:29 to: Peggy George
yes pilarb--tutors can definitely use moodle

17:43 to: Natalia
Thank you. Can we load Moodle on our own server? Learning is OK with me.

17:45 to: Maureen (bcdtech)
I used to use CRTeacher to run my moodle for PD- I could run 5 courses for ~100/yr and I didn't have to maintain a server, etc... worked for me

17:46 to: Penny (CA USA)
Question on MMayhem: will you host a repository of courses?

17:54 to: Sheri Edwards
Thanks for sharing a place to host @Kim Caise

18:03 to: Peggy George
I started my own moodle site just to learn to use it and to begin to create professional development courses for teachers.

18:22 to: Peggy George
go ahead

18:22 to: Kim Caise
sure

18:23 to: matt montagne
perhaps at some point you could speak to course archiving best practices miguel

18:27 to: Ann B
We have our own server. right now we are organizing by course and when multiple teachers teach a course using groups to organize them. thinking it will facilitate collaboration within departments. Won

18:27 to: Ann B
dering if that is best or will it be confusing for students?

18:28 to: Peggy George
you advance the slides :-)

18:30 to: Penny (CA USA)
OK works for me. I have courses I want to share!

18:37 to: Peggy George
let us know when you want us to start a web tour :-)

18:41 to: Jill
@Kim Caise: I use KeytoSchool as well

18:42 to: Kim Caise
http://bit.ly/moodlemayhem

18:48 to: McTeach
Great photo!

18:55 to: Peggy George
we should take up a collection to buy the domain name!!!! :-)

18:55 to: Kim Caise
i love it @jill! great templates

19:18 to: Nancy
Peggy George: I want to create my own moodle site- how diff/easy/involved is it? Do you need a server?

19:19 to: Penny (CA USA)
Take contributions on the MMayhem web site... I'd contribute!

19:24 to: matt montagne
could've even used Moodle itself!

19:25 to: Carlos38205
I love gogle sites

19:36 to: Carlos38205
They are so easy to use

19:36 to: Peggy George
you need a server to install Moodle on--that was my only expense

20:02 to: Peggy George
but there are some sites where you can get free moodle server space

20:06 to: Kim Caise
or use a site that hosts it for you like http://keytoschool.com

20:10 to: Carlos38205
How much is the charge for a server

20:19 to: Nancy
thanks!

20:21 to: Kim Caise
depends on the size

20:30 to: Kim Caise
sometimes several thousand

20:36 to: Carlos38205
oops

20:40 to: Ann B
In PA schools can go through their Intermediate Units for server space.

20:40 to: Carlos38205
unaffordable

20:52 to: Peggy George
@Carlos-depends on which server/host you choose. I'm using Dreamhost and got my free domain name, unlimited bandwidth and storage for about $8.00 a month

21:14 to: blairteach
Carlos38205 Some server hosts are less than $10 per month.

21:14 to: A. T. Wyatt
With DH you have to watch out about the limits on email generation, don't you?

21:18 to: Peggy George
I love that image for Beginning Stage!!!

21:19 to: Carlos38205
We have a district server but It doesn't run smooth enough

21:40 to: Carlos38205
@blairteach thans

21:42 to: mbteach (Mary Beth)
@Carlos38205 there are lots of domain hosting choices. Most range from $50-$10/mo

21:48 to: Dianne Aldridge
In my area of north TX, our district accesses Moodle through Region XI, education service center

21:58 to: mbteach (Mary Beth)
I meant $5! not $50!

22:14 to: juanma
we pay 96€for the annual hosting

22:15 to: Carlos38205
Fewffff

22:25 to: Peggy George
this is such a great image for planning--they even used chart paper and pen :-) don't always have to use technology for great things to happen

22:31 to: ChristineB
lost audio

22:32 to: Peggy George
lost your audio Miguel

22:35 to: Penny (CA USA)
Lost audio

22:39 to: Kim Caise

22:55 to: Carlos38205

22:58 to: Penny (CA USA)
Ok, maybe buffering

23:06 to: Penny (CA USA)
He's sounding like Donald duck...

23:06 to: Peggy George
now he's Mickey Mouse :-) bit of bandwidth issue

23:09 to: Penny (CA USA)
LOL

23:13 to: Oronoque Westland
echo

23:13 to: Dianne Aldridge
Has anybody used Softchalk with Moodle? It was recommended to me.

23:13 to: Peggy George
all is well!!

23:17 to: ChristineB
two people are talking at the same time????????

23:22 to: Mary G.
I can hear multiple people talkimg

23:25 to: Penny (CA USA)
@ Dianne -- I just did yesterday!

23:26 to: Eileen K
doubletalk

23:27 to: Penny (CA USA)
awesome!

23:28 to: Sandra Gassner (tekteech7)
hearing two voices?

23:30 to: Kim Caise
the audio is catching up

23:32 to: kathleenbollinger
there's a huge echo or multiple voices here

23:35 to: Dianne Aldridge
@Penny - did you like it?

23:46 to: Sandra Gassner (tekteech7)
thx for the explanantion :-)

23:50 to: Carlos38205
back to normal

23:54 to: Peggy George
just a little hiccup :-)

24:02 to: Penny (CA USA)
Yes! I took a sample "lesson" from the softchalk site (zipped) uploaded into moodle, unzipped, then linked to the index...

24:08 to: reba
could you start with the planning stage again because we missed a lot with the tech problems

24:20 to: A. T. Wyatt
Is softchalk a SCORM packager?

24:22 to: mbteach (Mary Beth)
@Penny how much is SoftChalk?

24:23 to: Penny (CA USA)
it was pre-made, but it proved that it worked well within Moodle. It had embeded video, activities and assessments

24:32 to: MGuhlin.org
You can find some tips on starting up with Moodle online at http://sites.google.com/site/moodlemayhem/moodle-tips

24:34 to: Peggy George
http://sites.google.com/site/moodlemayhem/home

24:44 to: Kim Caise
what is softchalk?

24:44 to: Penny (CA USA)
Expensive -- schools can get a break at about $600

24:44 to: Dianne Aldridge
@Penny Ok, going to try the 30-day freebie first before purchasing...

24:53 to: Penny (CA USA)

25:06 to: Kim Caise
okay, ty @penny

25:09 to: juanma
i like eXe to pack things into Moodle

25:26 to: A. T. Wyatt
I like eXe also. They have stopped development though. :-(

25:47 to: Sheri Edwards
Starting up link: http://www.mguhlin.org/2010/03/exploring-moodle-mayhem-concept.html

25:49 to: Peggy George
I'm so thrilled to have a place like Moodle Mayhem to share content and find content!!! I've really needed this!

26:02 to: mbteach (Mary Beth)
So what does it take to get a Moodle site online? Just upload it to a Google site and host it through a domain host?

26:05 to: Penny (CA USA)
@ATWyatt -- I have not used/seen that tool -- you use it to package HTML for moodle?

26:29 to: A. T. Wyatt
eXe? Yes, it does SCORM and has a nice looking HTML export.

26:31 to: juanma
you produce scorm contents

26:51 to: Penny (CA USA)
@ATWyatt -- Yes, that's what I meant, thanks.

26:57 to: Peggy George
that's the hard part!! getting over the idea that you need to be an expert or at least expert moodler to share on the site. Still getting up my courage

26:58 to: A. T. Wyatt
It does a good job of embedding objects and facilitating good design practices.

27:03 to: Penny (CA USA)
Are many people using SCORM?

27:28 to: Penny (CA USA)
http://www.creativecommons.org GREAT site, and all teachers need to use this licensing IMHO. :)

27:37 to: McTeach
@mbteach...I was wondering the same thing! Oh, and Good Morning!!

27:41 to: Ann B
Haven't used SCORM, but may begin this coming school year.

audio's gone again

27:59 to: A. T. Wyatt
SCORM is sometimes hard, and my latest interest is moodle for mobiles. The SCORM packages often use flash, which on iPhone and iPad is a problem!

28:02 to: juanma
i sometimes use it

28:35 to: Peggy George
@A.TWyatt--I recently downloaded the app for Moodle on my iphone and really like the potential! very user friendly

28:39 to: Kim Caise
cute image!

28:41 to: Penny (CA USA)
@ATWyatt - oh yeah, though I hear the new Mobile Moodle module is pretty robust

28:52 to: A. T. Wyatt
SCORM packages hard because they don't always report to Moodle gradebook. SOrry, I was unclear!

29:57 to: Becky

30:00 to: kathleenbollinger

30:54 to: MGuhlin.org
wow, it' been that many?

30:58 to: Sheri Edwards
I don't think you can upload Moodle to Google Sites -- I think a host service is needed, correct?

31:03 to: mbteach (Mary Beth)
Still wondering what it takes to get a Moodle site online. Do I upload it to a domain host?

31:07 to: MGuhlin.org

yes mbteach--you install moodle on a server/domain host

31:38 to: A. T. Wyatt
If you use something like Dreamhost, there is a one-click install. It requires a database, internet access, and the code itself.

31:38 to: Kim Caise
you can @mbteach or use a site like keytoschool.com or moodlerooms (fee based site)

Thanks :)

31:48 to: Peggy George
that is an amazing tool!!

31:52 to: Penny (CA USA)
@mbteach - I would look first to "free hosting" sites like keytoschool.com They will provide you a course shell, and all you need to do then is create your content.

32:09 to: mbteach (Mary Beth)
Thanks Penny

32:12 to: Sheri Edwards
If you have a webhositng service, see if they already have Moodle App to install. GoDaddy does.

32:14 to: Peggy George
if you click on follow us you instantly follow all of the group members and many will start following you back :-)

32:15 to: A. T. Wyatt
I set one up for my husband to support his special education co-op. We used Dreamhost as cost effective and pretty good support.

32:20 to: Kim Caise
that is my goal to get on board wtih the TxVSN

32:52 to: Penny (CA USA)
@Kim what is: TxVSN?

32:55 to: MGuhlin.org
@mbteach You need either 1) Your own server or 2) A host

32:59 to: jackiegerstein
@Sheri - it is my understanding that the only "way" to have Moodle for a group (not your own use) is through a server. I use http://www.crteacher.com/ for a few "independent" courses I offer

I didn't know anything about how to use Moodle when I started my moodle site and I'm loving it! Very user friendly and easy to learn

34:04 to: ChristineB
if you plan to use Moodle for your own class (let's say 6 courses), so you need to do the whole server thing or is that only for larger, school or district-based accoutns?

34:35 to: Peggy George
yeah moodlefairy :-)

34:41 to: Penny (CA USA)
@ Peggy -- Hmmm, I wonder if that is because you are really "techie" Peggy -- many teachers I have are tech shy and find Moodle difficult and "not intuitive... " !

34:46 to: kas
Sharon, are you here?

35:10 to: Kim Caise
i love keytoschools.com

37:56 to: Penny (CA USA)
@Christine, hang in there! It Does all make sense eventually! :)

38:21 to: ChristineB
I'm lost at the web- hosting... I just want to use it for my 6 classes../... I need to pay for hosting?

38:22 to: Kim Caise
it seems very daunting at first

38:24 to: Penny (CA USA)
ref sharing: Does MMayhem have any guidelines on how to share stuff

38:36 to: Peggy George
we have 2 earlier shows where we talked a lot about Moodle and you can still view the recordings. Miguel hosted one of the shows and the other show was with Tomaz Lasic

38:36 to: A. T. Wyatt
Dreamhost has thousands of people on their servers. When you upgrade the php version, things can break. They are very cautious. And it is a good thing!

Questions for Julian/Mary -- In adding new Modules to Moodle, how/where do you evaluate the stability of those new modules?

53:29 to: Peggy George
all of these links are in the gl.am links: http://gl.am/jxnhA

53:44 to: Penny (CA USA)
My teachers discover "new" modules and want them added, but many are not very stable...

53:51 to: Peggy George
Is there a video tutorial on how to add courses to Moodle Mayhem?

53:56 to: A. T. Wyatt
I am always interested in archiving and "restarting" courses. What are best practices?

54:19 to: dotty Myers
Moodle has a lot of potential. Now to convice my school/district is the hard part.

54:28 to: Peggy George
me too A.T. I need to learn more about duplicating courses to create new ones

54:40 to: Mary
Penny - look at how recent the last update to the module was - how often the contributor responds to queries on moodle.org. There's a book being written at the moment on extra modules - should be out

54:40 to: Mary
in few months and will give such advice

54:45 to: Jen
ditto here too, Peggy and A.T. Wyatt

54:51 to: Jill
@ A.T. Wyatt: Great question. I'd like to know as well.

55:04 to: Penny (CA USA)
Thanks Mary -- there are so many, it's hard to keep up!

55:43 to: A. T. Wyatt
Another thing is how to separate big media files/resources from moodle. To reduce course sizes. But then how do you protect the content, since it is probably copyrighted?

56:03 to: Mary
I have question for Julian - does he find Mahara linked to Moodle useful in K12 schools with younger pupils or is it only for older students?

56:08 to: Penny (CA USA)
Groups are amazing!

56:14 to: Mj Pratto
I keep all my groups,,,,immediate archive

56:23 to: Diana Benner
There isn't a video yet on adding course but we can definitely add one!

56:36 to: Mary
in Moodle 2 you will be able to make groups that you can then use sitewide

56:45 to: Cel Foster
You can also "reset" course.

56:49 to: Peggy George
where is that Miguel?

56:51 to: Penny (CA USA)
@Mary -- ohhhh, very cool!

57:07 to: Sheri Edwards
Do you need to know the name and number of groups up front, or can you continue to add groups?

57:08 to: Peggy George
we need that video or screencast :-)

57:29 to: Mj Pratto
Sheri, You can continue to add...nice

57:30 to: MGuhlin.org
moodletutorials.org

57:41 to: Peggy George
can you show us in the web tour?

57:51 to: A. T. Wyatt
One thing we are concerned with (at university level) is to keep adequate records. So there is an element of archiving that needs to happen. So far, we capture a copy of the database every semester

57:51 to: A. T. Wyatt
and keep them in a safe place.

57:53 to: Sheri Edwards
Thanks Mj Pratto :)

58:06 to: Ann B
Any thing on courses with more than one editing teacher? We are thinking one course, with each teacher using groups for individual sections of the course.

58:10 to: Peggy George
that is an awesome group of sharing people on the video tutorials page!!

58:18 to: Penny (CA USA)
Love the LEGO/Moodle video :) It is a great "opener" for newbie Moodlers

58:19 to: Peggy George
good question Ann B!

58:24 to: Mary
Ann B that is fine to do with groups

58:59 to: Penny (CA USA)
@Mary - With groups, I can assign teachers to be able to edit only certain topics/weeks?

58:59 to: Peggy George
wow did that time fly by!!

59:01 to: Sharon
thank you all!!

59:06 to: Mj Pratto
Courses can have more than one editing teacher

59:07 to: Peggy George
Kim's audio is wonky today!

59:16 to: Luiz Marcelo
I have to go...Thank you very much

59:44 to: Peggy George
I turned of Miguel and Diana for a minute so be sure to turn your mics back on when you speak again

59:48 to: Mary
Penny not really but I find it is healthier if teachers sharing a course can see what each other is doing even if they choose not to use it

59:50 to: Peggy George
turned off...

59:52 to: virginia alberti
great presentation thanks very much

1:00:00 to: Mj Pratto

1:08:07 to: Peggy George
that mac mini server is a brilliant idea!

1:09:18 to: Peggy George
I chose not to use those solutions because of the cost. :-)

1:09:21 to: Kim Caise
http://keytoschool.com and http://ninehub.com are free sources

1:09:31 to: Mj Pratto
How long does it take to get accepted to the Mayhem Email Group

1:09:33 to: Kim Caise
great analogy!

1:09:35 to: Peggy George
free puppy :-) often related costs :-)

1:09:52 to: jeffmason
rather have free pizza

1:09:52 to: MGuhlin.org
All Moodle Mayhem subscriptions are moderated so it takes less than a day

1:09:58 to: Mj Pratto
Thanks

1:10:04 to: Peggy George
but the great thing is you can have/store all of your content on your own server! won't disappear...

1:10:08 to: Peggy George
yeah Kim!!

I had Sqool Tools hose my moodle last year, they were wonderful to work with and the price was really reasonable. This year we are going to our own servers, but last year my district wasn't ready to h

1:10:53 to: pennyb
ear me. :)

1:11:06 to: Kim Caise
oh yes, i forgot about sqool tools

1:11:48 to: Peggy George
that's great news pennyb!! good job!

1:11:50 to: pennyb
*host not hose - sorry

1:12:17 to: Peggy George
sometimes it just takes having some examples from other schools to help admins understand the value of Moodle

1:12:44 to: Jill
When I set up a Moodle for our 3rd and 4th grade teachers, they used their classroom number for their enrollment key

1:12:45 to: Peggy George
http://human.edublogs.org/2009/03/18/one-sentence/ (Tomaz Lasic: Tells how he started a staff meeting spending a few minutes with teachers sharing how they are using Moodle in the classroom--excellent

strategy!)

1:12:54 to: Diana Benner
Sorry! I will.

Questions for Diana!

1:13:44 to: Mary
an admin could just enrol the students straight into a group into a course as well I guess via css

1:13:45 to: Peggy George
you have done a fantastic job with our questions Miguel and Diana!

1:13:46 to: Mary
csv

1:13:53 to: Peggy George
now we just need some time to explore!!

1:14:07 to: Peggy George
I love the "one stop shopping" aspect of Moodle Mayhem :-)

1:14:17 to: Mary
Miguel Last year I did the group enrolment key thing -this year i am doing it via csv as I think it might be less effort

1:14:25 to: Peggy George
so hard for Tammy to wear so many hats

1:14:29 to: Mj Pratto
How difficult with the migration be from 1.9 to 2.0 in your opinion? Worried how tough it will be?

1:14:36 to: Peggy George
could I try to do the closed captioning?

1:14:42 to: MGuhlin.org
Mary, the CSV is something I don't know about. It would be great to do a podcast about that!

1:14:43 to: Kim Caise
go for it peggy

1:14:57 to: Mary
Tammy's course was Great!!

1:15:08 to: Diana Benner
I don't know about the CSV either

1:15:18 to: Kim Caise

1:17:55 to: Mj Pratto
Thank-you

1:18:05 to: Mj Pratto
Me either,,,next year

1:18:06 to: Peggy George
I was typing in the closed captioning--don't know if you could see it

1:18:20 to: reba
thanks Tammy

1:18:22 to: Mary
reba if you can contact me I can give you video of elementary teachers and students tlaking moodle - cannot make it public as it has students names

1:19:00 to: Peggy George
@Mary--that is often the case that we can't view some of the excellent examples because they are not public

1:19:02 to: Jeff
@Peggy no, but thanks

1:19:14 to: Mj Pratto
Wonderful

1:19:42 to: Peggy George

Peggy -you are right :(

1:20:43 to: reba
@Mary - What is your email for contact. And thanks for being a resource for me

1:20:52 to: Peggy George
it's so reassuring to start with a template and then branch out

1:20:55 to: Jeff
But what are the important learnings that needed to happen before the template was created?

1:21:13 to: Mj Pratto
I will curious how customized it is,,,did you just use the Topics format?

1:21:17 to: Mary
reba my schooil email is mco@olchs.lancs.sch.uk I showed the video at UK moodle moot but cant put it online cos of student security

1:21:18 to: MGuhlin.org
a key insight was the importance of a syllabus.

1:21:23 to: Beth
Mary how do we contact you? I use Moodle in my 1st grade classroom, but I'd love to see what other's are doing too. My district is closed and doesn't allow open viewing either.

1:21:29 to: Peggy George
I found it really helpful to have an overview of Moodle modules so I could understand the various options for creating a course

1:21:48 to: MGuhlin.org
Yes, use the Topics.

1:21:49 to: Peggy George
