Thank you for signing up for the Classroom 2.0 LIVE workshop in Phoenix on May 8 & 9, 2008. It's exciting to see how many have signed up so far. And congratulations on getting your name into the wiki page! I know that using a wiki can be a little daunting if you haven't done so before, so we wanted to give you some first-hand experience with this great Web 2.0 tool. :)

If for some reason you discover that you are not going to be able to attend the workshop, please return to the wiki and remove yourself. ( /Attending+Phoenix+2008) We do have a limit on the number who can attend, and if we reach that point, we will start a waiting list that we can go to if anyone cancels.

This is a "collaborative conference," which means that we are hoping you will enjoy actively participating as you learn about Web 2.0. Please don't worry if you feel you are a complete beginner--there are going to be some great sessions to help you discover this new world of the "participative" Web. If you do have some experience, we want to encourage you to become a part of the session discussions, and one way to do that is to sign up to help facilitate. We are also going to have a couple of "speed demo" sessions where you can demonstrate a technology or method you are currently using that you think others would benefit from seeing.

To sign up to facilitate or to do a speed demo, please add your name to the wiki page at /Phoenix+2008+Agenda. There can be more than one facilitator of a session, so don't feel you are intruding if you add your name to a session someone else has already signed up to help facilitate. The more facilitators, the more we can help those for whom the technology is new! If you have any questions about participating in this way, please feel free to email me. And if our speed demo lists fill up, we'll create more!

A laptop computer with wireless capability is almost essential to your having a good experience in the workshop. If you don't have one, you are still most welcome to come, but you'll have a much better time if you can bring one. We'll have snacks available in the mornings and afternoons, but you will be on your own for lunches (unless we snag a really great sponsor--and we'll let you know!). We'll send more detailed information as we get closer.

This will be a really fun two days. Hope you are excited about it--I sure am. If you are not a member of Classroom 2.0, you might want to join the community there as part of your adventure:

Best regards,
