This is a collaborative conference, and we really like to use the expertise of local people. If you are interested in facilitating a session, please don't hesitate to add your name to one or two of the sessions listed below. We will also check with those in attendance the day of to make sure we're covering the topics you want, and reserve the right to reconfigure the program to match your needs!

Introduction to Web 2.0:

Steve: "School 2.0" Brainstorm. Not quite sure what Web 2.0 is, or how it relates to education? In this discussion we'll talk about the collaborative technologies of the web, how they are being used by educators in and out of the classroom, and give you a framework for the rest of the workshop. In this session, we'll also discuss the politics and policies associated with Web 2.0 in schools.

What are blogs, why are they important, and how do you keep track of them? An introduction to blogging in the classroom and for personal and professional development.

Lunch on your own. Bring a bag lunch if you want to be part of the optional Skype-in session, "Meet the Mentors." We'll troll the Twitter/Blogosphere and have live video conversations with educators all over the world. While this is going on, we'll give some tutorials and share ideas for using Skype (or Elluminate!) to connect students, teachers, and classrooms together. We'll also explain Twitter!
