Concept: Class Homework Calendar
Grade Level: 8th Grade
Detail: All of my 8th grade students are members of my wikispace. I created a calendar using images within a table linked to a wiki page for each day. I then created a template for what should go on the calendar page. Every morning, I assign 5 students to complete the calendar for an assigned subject (Math/Algebra, History, Science, and English). Students navigate to the page for the day assigned and fill in what is needed and provide any materials/links necessary. This is great for absent work or for students who need a reminder of what to take home for homework at the end of the day.

Concept: Cooperative Lab Reports in Advanced Chemistry
Grade Level: 10
Detail:Lab groups work together to complete a lab on the wiki. Students learned the use of some basic math tags, a skill that comes in handy as they move to working with Maple or formating labs with LaTex in upper level math classes. Students used MediaWiki's discussion tab to talk about problems with the lab or with determining who had what job. Students added statements of contribution and concurrance knowing that the history would bear out what they were taking credit for doing.
